these pieces are the result of a few years working w/ specific software, and creating large and detailed sample banks of the bassclarinet sounds and effects. Patiently following paths of processes running out this way or that. seeking new ways to control and interact with the Machine and the Horn. the root of the sounds is the bassclarinet, sometimes bflat clarinet as well. these pieces here are still in many aspects running processes and not so much finished pieces, structures or compositions I present here. I mean this channel to be a part of my outputs on some other chanels, where I present more often pieces as studies. I often use midi controllers to control the various applications. see also ‘max im loop’ @youtube and ‘bassclarinetculture’ @youtube

the main softwares are ppooll, sooperlooper and ableton live8 editing and mixing in pro tools
playing bassclarinet means mostly/ only w/ use of extended techniques; multiphonic slaptongueing, in between key slicing/slapping, key clicks, breaths.
the software is there to create environments w/ sound treatments & unpredictable process outcomes, and merging of accoustics w/ digtal sounds.
